About me
Greetings! My name is Batu, and I'm a first-year PhD student in physics at the University of Minnesota. I graduated from Bogazici University with a double major in physics and mathematics in 2023.
As an undergraduate, I mainly studied topological string theory and its relation to Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra. With a change of subfield, I'm currently working on applications of non-invertible symmetries in quantum field theories and condensed matter models. My broad interests are theoretical condensed matter physics and high energy physics. (Hope I'll narrow these down soon!)
